Beinn a' Chaorainn [Glen Derry] and Beinn Bhreac [Glen Derry], walking route, weather, maps and more on all the Munros of Scotland. Both these hills are fairly gentle on the legs with no major lung busting efforts required. The route time can be shortened by cycling to Derry Lodge. The ascent of Beinn a' Chaorainn along with the neighbouring Munro of Beinn Bhreac is a long round trip of over 28 kilometres, starting at the Linn of Dee car park , eight kilometres west of Braemar. Our calculation is based on the horizontal and ascent components of a climb, we do not make a reduction for descent. This moderate route to two of the central Cairngorms requires endurance.
